this post is inspired from usesthis, a website where people talk about their computing setup. I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I've been procrastinating. i'm going to try to keep this short.
i have a desktop computer under my desk, running archlinux. usually ssh to it to do heavy lifting and to execute long running tasks. it's not pretty and it has dust, i don't look at it, this is just a tool for me.
most of the time i work on my laptop, on the couch or when i'm away traveling. it also runs archlinux KDE and i dual boot win11 for casual gaming.
for input devices, i use mx keys and mx master 3.
software i like using for work:
- jetbrains products
- emacs for org-mode, orgro on mobile, i have custom scripts for transcribing longform voice notes and extracting actionable items to put them in my org mode files.
- insomnia, vscode, 010editor
- for storage i use btrfs. for backups i use btrbk.
